The Silent Practice option is now available for the Tranjo. The regular head is replaced with a nylon mesh head, which is tensioned just like the normal one. A piezo pickup is mounted under the bridge and connected to a battery-powered headphone amp. Through the headphones, you hear a true banjo sound, while those around you hear next to nothing. There is a line-in jack on the headphone amp, so you can plug in your TV, CD player or iPod and play along with lessons or backup tracks. This option is available for both versions of the Tranjo - 6.0 and 8.0, and requires no permanent modification to your Tranjo.
